Large-scale screening, group testing, mathematical optimization, disease spread mitigation

Hrayer Aprahamian is an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University. His research interests lie at the interplay between combinatorial/discrete and continuous optimization, with particular interest in applications related to healthcare systems and public policy decision-making. Recently, his work has focused on optimal screening and surveillance strategies for mitigating the risk and spread of emerging infectious diseases. He is the recipient of the Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Award, IISE Transactions Best Applications Paper Award, and runner-up for the INFORMS Pierskalla Award for the Best Paper in Healthcare.
